Ulysses in 1870
Looking North along Main Street
Note the Octagon school in the background
There are still two churches across the street from each other, but they are probably not the same buildings as are in this photo.
Is the large house in the foreground a boardinghouse?

Octagon Academy

Methodist Church 1911

Judging from clothing, this was taken about 1900. This seems to be the entire school system from 1st through High School.

Probably taken between 1870 and 1890.
Bailey Hill is about four miles southeast of Ulysses.
It may  have been in Hector Township.

The Round Barn was on Rte 49  between Ulysses and Gold.
This photo was taken around 1920.

This picture was taken in 1996.
The barn burned on May 3, 2002.
