Parish, Pvt. Shubel : Drafted at Henrietta, New York on or about August 15, 1814 served in Capt. Crouch and M. Mathis Company of the 1000th Regiment of the New York Militia  He was discharged at Batavia, Genesee County, on or about November 01, 1814. Received two land grants in Portville, Cattaraugus County for his service in the War of 1812.

Pierce, Lyartus B.  Born in Hancock, Mass. April 26, 1795. Married Katherine Fosmer at Fabius, NY. Died at Humphrey, NY, July 5, 1870. Enlisted at Oswego, NY, Oct. 12, 1814.

Pollard, Oliver Born in Bolton, ME, Dec. 4, 1766. Moved to Waterford, ME about 1801 and later moved to Augusta, ME where he died June 1851 age 84 years, 6 months. He was commissioned of the 6th division, 1st brigade. Became Major. He was the Grandfather of Dr. Edward Torrey of Catt. Co.

Pope, Elnathan Came to Conewango in 1828. Died in Wisconsin.

Porter, Cyrus 1786-1870  Buried in Rawson Cemetery, Lyndon.

Post, Grove Lived in Farmersville. Served from Trenton, NJ on northern frontier. Died in Washington in 1868.

Wood, Wheelock Age 15 years when he entered the war as a fifer. Captured at the Battle of Lake Erie. Prisoner to the end of the war. In 1817 he came to Hinsdale.

Woodford, Samuel Born in Conn. in 1784. Captain at Lundy's Lane and Kingston. Served under Gen. W.H. Harrison. Died in East Randolph, Jan. 10, 1857.

Woodward, Ayers Lived in Leon. Enlisted from Vermont in Capt. Brigg's Company. Served three months at Burlington. Was given bounty land.

Wright, Abraham Came from Washington in 1819. Lived in Great Valley. A musician. Son of Deacon Abraham Wright. Was born in Cambridge, NY, 1778. Deacon had a son John G. who came to Great Valley in 1819.

Y

Yates, Emery Native of Woodstock, Vermont. Came to Hinsdale, NY from Gainesville, NY about 1813 and settled at Scott's Corners. Built a swa mill on Oil Creek.
